Learning Russian

My mother is Russian and I will start learning her native tongue this week. I’m quite touched by this event. It means a lot to me. I will be using Rosetta Stone since their technique is how I learned English in combination with Russian grammar books. I learned English through a combination of:
- Entertainment in English. Everything in English. No subtitles. I watched cartoons and films, read books and listened to music all in English while growing up.
- Back-up classes on essential supplements such as grammar and the rules of the English language. Perhaps 3 hours per week.
- Using English in my travels to English-speaking countries and around the world as an international language.
The downsides of Rosetta Stone:
- Kind of expensive.
- Allows users to download only on one computer.
This week I start the journey. Wish me well!

Try the Pimselur method. Just google it and you’ll find the website. I’ve never tried it, but I’m thinking about it. It sounds really, really good!
